SADCO also provides a limited number of financial grants (a lump sum covering your local expenses) for young researchers who are not SADCO fellows. As a young researcher you should be a PhD student resp. you received your PhD not later than five years ago.

If you want to apply for a grant, please

  • first register to the SADCO Summer School and Workshop
  • and then provide your CV with a list of publications in an email to ompc2013[at-sign]uni-bayreuth.de.

Ask your recommending person (e.g. your supervisor) to send a recommendation letter directly to ompc2013[at-sign]uni-bayreuth.de.

Applications for grants can be submitted as soon as the registration has opened (March 2013). The deadline for grant applications is April 30, 2013, the decisions on the applications will be sent out until mid May 2013. Please see also our separate page with important dates.

Please do not forget to register first, since the number of participants is limited. In the case you are not granted financial support you may cancel your registration free of charge until July 2013.
